Sure, I’ve been ridiculed for my “Noo Yawk’ accent. Maybe I do say “Fugheddaboudit! I ain’t saying nuttin,” or “Gedoutahea, gid=0 (docs.google.com) yer pudding me on!” So! Wherever we go, we New Yorkers will always stand out. For good or ill, we are different, and that’s what makes us so great.
So, from that day forward, every time the phone would ring, when I met someone new, received a referral or an email request I began to feel the anticipation as if I had just earned another one thousand dollars. Some days I would make cold calls or go to places out of the blue with the intention of meeting just one person.
Cats coming from New environments could have been exposed to infection. For the safety of your cat and any current pets, consider arranging to take your cat to your veterinarian on the way home from picking up your cat. If that is not practical, try to schedule the visit within a week and keep your New cat separated from other pets until then. Usually, reputable shelters and rescue organizations will require this as part of the adoption contract.
New moms can get very focused on their child and understandably so. This becomes a problem when dad starts to feel left out of the “cool kids” crowd. Being aware, as a new mom, can prevent hurt feelings before they happen.
Help your children make new friends. Organize play dates for younger children with children of co-workers or neighbors. Encourage older children to become involved in extracurricular activities in their new school.
New I have also been reading Mr. Terrific. The new Mr. Terrific first appeared in the Spectre comic book series and then joined the JSA. Apparently, the Mr. Terrific in the new DC Universe is still Michael Holt but he was not a member of the Justice Society. (It has not been stated he was never a member of the JSA but it sure seems like it.) Power Girl appears in the Mr. Terrific comic but she does not seem to have powers or go by Power Girl. Instead, she appears as a friend of Micheal’s and uses her real name of Karen Starr. I like how Mr. Terrific now works out of a space between dimensions. I cannot help but wonder if Mr. Terrific’s study of dimensions is going to play into the return of the JSA somehow. It looks like we will have to wait and see.
New art and sculpture forms are being explored by artists coming from the smaller towns. Art galleries are being opened by first timers who are not in awe of the legendary artists and are giving space to new talent with sometimes quirky ideas.
